Varicose Vein Removal Latest Methods
Heard today of a new way to remove varicose veins, via laser. No bandages, no being off work for a month, my hairdresser today told me had the operation last Tuesday, just a local and six days later, he is back at work. Not many places around Marbella are doing it this way, but he went to one of the hospitals in Benalmadena.

Feeling pretty again
After working all week-end getting the new office and then the apartment sorted it was lovely to have a meeting with God today.
His name is Jonathan and he works at Reflections hairdressers in Nueva Andalucia and knows everything there is to know about colour.

Car Valet Nueva Andalucia
I tried the car valet today in Nueva Andalucia, in the car park at Centro Plaza shopping centre by the bullring. I handed my keys to the man, had my hair done and came back to an absolutely pristine car, inside and out.
No biscuits, hairs, sweet wrappers and unspeakables. The last time my car look this good was five years ago when it was brand new. I’m going to get a patio chair now and sit on the kerbside and just stare at my gorgeous car.
It cost 20 euros for a clean inside and out.
Stock up on toilet rolls
There is a stomach bug doing the rounds. Erikita has had it, hubby now complaining he has it and I think I may decide to have it next week-end, think Sunday would be good, around 3pm when the school uniform needs ironing…….
Chinese Shop Nueva Andalucia
I was one of the happy people to see a cheap and cheerful Chinese shop open up in Nueva Andalucia near Mercadona last year. I have found it to be a life saver a number of times. Whereas all other shops are closed on a Sunday, the Chinese shop is open until late during the week and on a Sunday.
Today I needed a frying pan and some oven gloves and voila, the Chinese shop had them in stock. Little Erikita always feels sorry for the young lad in there who works with his mum and dad at the week-ends. Although she’s also jealous as he’s great at working the till and she quite fancies that. I’ve told her that’s what happens in a family business it is all hands on deck. She knows first hand about that…she helped me hang curtains today in the rental apartment and kept the sofa warm whilst I made the beds.
Ready made curtains Marbella Costa Del Sol
I needed some ready made curtains recently for an apartment near Marbella. I had a problem with some mouldy curtains on Friday and although I washed them with every chemical I could think of, powder, domestos, salt, slug pellets and it made them much better,with aluminium frames on the windows the mould will return. So I needed another pair on standby.
I couldn’t find Divine Curtains details on any website, have they disappeared? A friend suggested I try Leroy Merlin. So I went in and they had a great selection of eyelet ready made curtains. These are the best for rental properties as you just thread them through a pole, no pleats and they call all be machine washed. Leroy Merlin in La Canada had a large selection and some were on sale, 25 euros a curtain and excellent quality and choice of colours. They will need hemming as they are going to be far too long for my window, but for 50 euros I have a decent pair of ready made curtains.
So for ready made curtains in Marbella head to Leroy Merlin. If you live near Fuengirola or Mijas the Yorkshire Bedding company located near Dunnes and Lidl also has a good stock of ready made curtains in store.
Hip Hop and singing classes Puerto Banus
If you are looking for hip hop or singing classes for your children then head to Princess Studios in Puerto Banus. Princess Studios are located in Marina Banus opposite El Corte Ingles, close to Terra Sana which is located downstairs in Marina Banus. They have hip hop classes after school and on Saturdays and some of the teachers have worked with Rihanna, Madonna, Kylie Minoge and the Cirque du Soleil. See a child’s eyes light up when you mention that…..
Princess Studios also have belly dancing and pole dancing classes for adults……see your husband’s eyes light up when you mention that……
Classes are 10 euros and you can pay on the day.

Dog walkers, dog sitters Marbella
I am getting lots of requests for dog walkers and although I have one ladies number I’m sure she isn’t able to help out with all the requests. If you are a dog walker in Marbella or have a business where you allow a couple of dogs to stay with you whilst their owners go on holiday let me know your details and I’ll pass them onto anyone that requests for doggy help.
I’d help myself but I don’t think Garfield the cat would ever talk to me ever again.

I am conducting focus group sessions on behalf of an insurer to understand the healthcare needs of British expatriates in Spain better.

My Lulu Guinness Umbrella
More rain to follow until Sunday. I don’t mind though as I’m finally getting to use my new Lulu Guinness birdcage umbrella which my brother bought for my birthday. ( I’m 21 if you are asking….)
It covers your shoulders if you are a normal height but if you were a goblin or a Spanish person from a far forgotten village then it would probably cover you up to your ankles.
It also mists up beautifully as you walk so you can go to collect the children at school in your pyjamas and nobody actually recognizes you. You also bump into that handsome stranger your horiscope promised.
The handle has a lovely round hook. I have found it excellent at grabbing Erikita around the neck. She stops whatever she is doing (usually trying to kill her brother in the back of the car) instantly.
Wonder if I could add a battery somewhere and turn it into a taser?
