Killer cat
Namely Garfield.
Garfield found a baby blackbird yesterday and dropped it off for us by the lounge. We had to shut him in the lounge where he looked longingly at it whilst his friend Ollie the black and white cat in the photo, just gave it a sniff and went to sleep.

the pink collar is his punishment for catching in 4 days, 2 lizards ( tail continues to move on a lizard once it has dropped off, uggh), a bird and a toad.....
Sadly the bird didn’t make it. My theory was that it had internal bleeding but neither Virginia or Erika seemed very keen on my offer to do a post mortem……
Weather in April in Marbella
Well we had a week of rain over Easter and then voila, we had this.
This is the beach on the Golden Mile between Marbella and Puerto Banus…..desserted. It never gets that busy even in the height of summer.
The promenade now has nice new railings, you can walk all the way into Marbella or Puerto Banus, about 40 minutes walking, from one to the other.
Great toy for girls
This is a GREAT toy for girls and also for boys as they come not only in pink or purple, but blue, red, green and silver.
Erika had one for her 10th birthday, delivered free of charge to Spain from Amazon. It looks cool, has taken her all the way to the paseo in Marbella and back home up a steep hill….even takes me around at a push. What I really, REALLY loved about this electric scooter from Razor was that when we opened it the company had already given it a small charge which meant Erika could use it immediately. That doesn’t happen very often with toys these days does it?
If I could have made a euro for everytime someone stopped and stared or asked us where we got it from ….well I’d be able to buy a few slices of carrot cake…..

They are offering in April and May, a leaderboard advert which goes right near the top of the page, any town in the world for £50 per month. No contract.
They have a Google page ranking of 5, 123,000 visitors last month ( verified on Google analytics) and over 8 million property listings.
New make up shop in La Canada
Opposite Terra Sana in La Canada a new make up shop is opening. It is advertising mascaras from 3.90 euros so affordable…well it would be if I hadn’t spent all my money on Chunky Monkey ice-cream, coffee and chocolate cookies this morning…….
Real Madrid vs Barcelona kick off time
The semi final football match between Real Madrid vs Barcelona kick off, takes place tonight at 8.30pm Spanish time, 7.30pm London time. Around 500,000 million people are expected to watch it.
Slightly less people than the Royal Wedding tomorrow which takes place at 12pm Spanish time, 11am London time.

Terra Sana fiasco
A while ago Terra Sana contacted me bad mouthing a man that had taken over 3 of their businesses. Well legally they have just had to apologise to him.

Advice for new mums
Get your child christened and then the following week have a Jewish baby naming ceremony. Get them confirmed and barmitzvahed and get the certificate. Put them all in a safety deposit box.
Once a week attend a synagogue and then the next Sunday visit the CofE church. Once a month make a point of saying “hi” to the Priest at your local Catholic Church, confess all your sins, but don’t confess that you collect religious baptism certificates.
It will be your ticket to a much better state school when the time comes…..points for the certificate and points awarded for how often you have gone to church/synagogue/the mosque…..no points for weekly visits to your local pub.
Then on little Cher or Jack’s first birthday buy them a French Horn. There are plenty of private schools offering bursaries to children and these bursaries are almost always for sport or musical talent. Everyone plays the violin but nobody plays the French Horn so your chances of getting in are increased as the school will be greedily eyeing up the French Horn player for their orchestra. Your dear little Jack gets the place….His lips are deformed, he has cheeks like a hamster and he looks more Popeye than Popstar, but who cares, he got a free place into a top private school.

Bubble fun
Erika had her 10th birthday recently and one of the toys that we ALL really enjoyed was an inexpensive bubble making toy from the supermarket in La Canada. I think it was around 12 euros and produces with a wand HUGE bubbles. No batteries required just a little bit of puff.
Easter Eggs
If you need English chocolate Easter eggs then you can go to Iceland in Puerto Banus which is open tomorrow on Good Friday. I say that you can go there….I’m not sure they have much left after my little trip there today…….
