Britain’s Got Talent
Watched my first show today and oh golly I haven’t laughed so much in ages. Britain’s Got Talent with David Walliams and Simon….well they are such a funny couple, David Walliams was a genius choice for a judge.
And as for “where’s me keys, where’s my phone” I want that as my ring tone.
If you haven’t watched it try it……I dare you not to smile!!
Introvert or extrovert
There was a programme on tv about an author who has written a book about introverts and extorverts. One of the tests to see if you are an extrovert is whether you think before you speak?
If the answer is no then you are more likely to be an extrovert.
Which got me to ponder over countries.
I decided that the UK was introverted and Spain was extroverted.
One country treads on egg shells lest they offend one another and has a key word, “sorry.”
The other chats for hours whilst a queue forms behind them, park wherever they like and do whatever they feel and want, all of the time.

I’m not being slutty ( it’s not Sunday morning)…..and I won’t even be given the chance now because Marks and Spencers have sold out.
After watching the programme tonight on how buying a pair of kinky knickers can support some great people that were unemployed and who are now enjoying having money in their pockets, having a routine, providing for their wee ones and feeling like good parents and good people for the first time in years. etc…as well as keeping a couple of factories open, I really wanted to buy a pair. The black and cream lace ones looked heavenly…..
The programme said the machinests were ok for 9 months employment ( all previously out of work and have never been near a sewing machine) but after that they needed to be selling 100,000 pairs of kinky knickers to keep everyone employed. They were at just over 40,000 pairs when the programme aired.
Well judging by the feedback on the web and the fact that Marks and Spencers have run out ( they didn’t order a huge amount to start with…but will be now) it looks like it is a success.
More than that, at the start of the programme I rolled my eyes at “buy British” and then it showed you just how many people in the UK we help by buying British.
Mary made the point that we care about animals in this country, we care about our surroundings and re-cycling but do we care about our people.
Well I will find a pair of kinky knickers and I do care…….if we all start to buy something British, then maybe we can end the recession a little faster than currently forecast, give people back their jobs and just make life a little bit easier for us all.

Orchestra tuning up or protesters?
Either there is an orchestra tuning up in Marbella or some serious protesters are making a point.
It sounds as though it is coming from La Canada. I don’t know the logic behind stopping business owners from getting to work to make a day’s wage when the protest is supposed to be about government cut backs, but there you go, what do I know?
Good parenting
You have been a good parent if your children know that if life gets too much or something happens that you will always welcome them back home…no matter what, and no matter their age.
Grumpy holidaymakers
Holiday maker arrived today to stay in the apartment. She had been up probably half the night with her two children under five years and when she arrived I wasn’t there as she had forgotten to text me….but I’ll make some allowances for her being so grumpy.
However when she asked my husband as soon as he rushed to let her in, ” the weather looks rubbish, what is there to do with the children?” I’d have had to have replied,
“what would you do in England?”
And the answer is…….smile and make the best of it or don’t travel in March and April when the weather can be erratic.
Spain general strike
Someone has just asked me about this and yes it is happening.
Buses are on strike tomorrow so many workers won’t be able to get to their offices or shops that they work in, so expect quiet roads and no milk or bread in the house……unless you shopped earlier.
No I didn’t……uh oh.
It’s ok though I’ll ask my pal Jimmy who buys the Mercadona brown bread by the ton to share…..Jimmy….share……
