Horse riding stables Winchester
I recently have begun looking at horse riding stables near to Winchester and was surprised with the open spaces around here that there were not more.
I wanted a child friendly place for my daughter so went to visit Tanglewood Equestrian Centre as it was the nearest to us.
It wasn’t ideal as they don’t have an indoor arena which in the UK I think is quite important but that was less important to me than having a riding instructor that would make it fun for my daughter and was postive and cheerful. It is after all supposed to be enjoyable.
The young girl that we were introduced to was none of the above. It all sounded too much trouble for her to organise an assessment. Maybe we caught her on a bad day but the long dramatic sigh she let out as we closed the door said it all.
We cancelled…..
We phoned up two more, Pinkmead stables and Quob Stables, both of which have fantastic facilities, indoor arenas and restaurant/cafes for parents to go to whilst their children ride.
Quob were super on the phone but were too busy that week to get the assessment done so I tried Pinkmead. I was impressed with the questions they asked regarding safety issues and so we are trying it this week.
