Two tone hair this summer

I’m not talking sun kissed highlights that my girls have. I’m talking dark mousey roots, now more than just the roots, that are crying out for my usual semi permanent colour.
Only if I have the colour and want it to stay, I can only swim like a pensioner, with my hair in a bun and my head above water. My children have watched me this summer and thought that I couldn’t swim very well. So this week I thought, darn it, if it means having two tone bad hair all summer but having serious fun in the swimming pool, then it is worth it.
So today I’ve been the bad swamp monster with the bad hair, I’ve dived, front crawled, tried unsuccessfully to do handstands and swallowed so much chlorine that I think I have burned my tonsils. I’ve also had numerous bubbles up my nose and the ” burn ” as a result. Probably similar to taking acid.
The two tone hair will have to stay and it has been worth it just to see my children’s face light up as I’ve run and jumped into the pool and showed them that hey, ” mum CAN swim. ”
So Jonathan from Reflections, I’m really sorry but we’ll have to meet later, a lot later sometime in August when once more I’ll become the O.A.P doing breastroke, head above the water, having no fun at all…..
