I have some spaces left in August in our large two bedroom apartment, with two ensuites in Puerto Banus, Spain. The complex is low rise with two pools, one  of which is heated from October through until May and a child’s splash pool too.

24/7 security, easy car parking and within a 5 minute walk there are supermarkets, cafes, a Saturday morning market, and restaurants to enjoy.

The beach is no more than a 20 minute walk or a short bus ride ( bus stop is a 2 minute walk from the apartment.)

Large 2 bedroom apartment with UK television, sunny terrace and fully equipped kitchen and utility room.

They want us to register our interest in cheaper gas and electricity bills and then if enough people sign up their interest they can negotiate in bulk great deals from a utility company on our behalf. We could save beteen £60 and £200 a year.

I’m about to do this, what is their to lose? They will do the negotiation and then let me know what my tarrif would be. I can compare it with the one I have now and then switch if needed.

There’s only one monster in this house….and that’s ME.

When I got my new job recently rather than spending lots of money on work clothes, ( I don’t get paid much!!)  I sourced them all through ebay and the local charity shops, mostly the ones in Chandlers Ford.  Yes, I had a few disasters, which either went straight back to the charity shop ( feel good factor) or went online onto ebay. Or they are still hanging on my rails as you never know I may need a red ruffle ankle length dress one day…..

Now days I go the charity shops to see if I can find something cheap and cheerful but a bit different for the house. It doesn’t have to be anything of value just something that sings out to me or something that I know as I head towards the door I’ll regret not buying.

I took a collage my daughter had made for me and they were really helpful guiding me towards the right type of frames, colours and breaking down the price for me.

From start to finish, it will be ready to collect in just one week.

Can’t wait to find the perfect place to put it and to see my daughter’s face when she sees her work framed and displayed. Perfect!

I just wanted to put up a post to say what a brilliant experience to date we have had as a family at Winchester hospital. We’ve had cataracts removed, prostate checks, blood tests, paedatricians and everyone has been helpful, kind and prompt to deal with us.

For our elderly father in law they had even provided him with a chair with his name on for his to rest and relax in whilst awaiting his cataract removal.

The hospital is clean, there are good eating areas, wide corridors and it just doesn’t seem very busy or rushed….well the car park does but that goes for everywhere in Winchester regarding parking and lack of spaces.

If you leave plenty of time to park then everything else will be a breeze at Winchester Hospital.

Whilst I’m on a  “let’s be positive thread”…great secondary schools too!! And no speed cameras….great market on the high street and a rather nice cathedral!!
