Holidays to the Costa del Sol are available all year long. Fly to Malaga airport or into Gibraltar and then make your way by taxi at La Linea or by coach into the Costa del Sol for your holiday in the sun. The train service at Malaga is very good if you are going in the direction of Fuengirola but the train does not yet link up to areas such as Marbella and Puerto Banus. There is an excellent coach service directly outside the terminal building at Malaga airport which will take you directly into Marbella bus station. You store your luggage under the coach and pay the driver at Malaga airport just under 5 euros per person. On the return journey you go to the ticket office at Marbella bus station and you do not pay the driver. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes and is direct.
Make sure you do your homework before booking a holiday to the Costa del Sol. Think about the type of holiday that you are looking for. Do you want nightlife, good shops, good transport links, sandy beaches? Different resorts and towns will offer you a variety of these things. However, all will offer you the one thing that you are looking for and that is sun. The Costa del Sol averages over 300 days of sunshine each year!
