Moving to the UK, car insurance no claims bonus

If you are moving from Spain to the UK you will struggle to find car insurance companies that will accept the no claims bonus that you have built up, most will not accept it.

Churchill did until last year but had so many fraud cases that they decided to no longer accept no claims bonuses from Spain.

Companies that will still accept any no claims that you have built up whilst living in Spain are More Than and Adrian Flux ( who found Aviva).
By going with these companies you will save around £100-£150 if you have full no claims here in Spain. They will require in English a letter or email with the logo of the company you were using stating your no claims and the number of years.
We we were with Linea Directa and they sent us an email.

Cancelling with Linea Direct by the way has not been easy. They don’t read emails and told us they receive hundreds a day as a good reason for not replying. You have to contact them to say you want to cancel your insurance and if they don’t receive it in written form or via an email then they take it that you wish to continue and will charge your card accordingly. You have to sign a document and either scan it or post it to them and hope to God they read it.
We had incorrect information sent to us, went around in circles but did eventually get there. I’m cancelling my Spanish banks so even if they want my money they won’t be getting it!
