2012 predictions, pole shift in 2012, mayan predictions and will it be the end of the world?
Today for the first time ( have I been on another planet?), I learned that there is a growing belief that the end of the world in 2012 is coming and that won’t be just the olympic fiasco that we are all waiting to happen.
According to the Mayan calendar there will a catastrophic even in 2012 that will lead to the end of the world. The Maya civilization being one that lasted from
250 to 900 AD. They were able to write and some but not all of their writings have been found and with this has been the date and predictions of doom for 2012. Of all the Maya writings that have been found only two talk of some event taking place in 2012 that have some deep significance, those found in Tortuguero, Mexico and those which are part of the Chilam Balam a series of prophesies.
It is believed by some that during the start of the winter solstice, December 21st 2012, a special alignment in the galaxy will take place which will cause spiritual change for mankind as a whole. Others see it as a prophecy that there will be a pole shift causing a catastrophic event. If the magnetic field flips, there will be tidal waves and earthquakes, Europe and North America would shift thousands of miles.
100km from Gaza in Egypt lies the labyrinth, a maze of tunnels. These have recently been found and scanned. The Egyptian Government has stopped it and has said no more deep scanning on these tunnels can be done until…..after 2012. The people who were doing this research were hoping to find the legendary Hall of Records. Some people believe that this Hall of Records, found somewhere in the labyrinth there is proof that another extremely cultured civilisation once existed. One that knew the poles were going to be flipped during their lifetime and were unable to stop it. They built a time capsule under the pyramids to preserve their knowledge should mankind survive, which he did.
A movie will be coming out soon called….2012 just to keep the end of the world hysteria going. After living through the hysteria of the end of the world is nigh of 2000 I am pretty relaxed about December 2012. On the plus side if it is the end of the world and we have this much advance notice, I won’t have to do any Christmas shopping in 2012. Hurrah…
