How to cope with an itching cast
My daughter has had big problems today with her new cast really itching. She has found a solution though and I’m going to post it as someone out there may be searching for a solution for an itchy cast and we have it! She found a skewer and end up ( not the pointed end) but the end with the “eye” she was able to poke up her cast and scratch away. We have stuck a cork on the other end so that her own “eye” doesn’t get poked out, but it really is giving her a lot of relief.

I have heard that pouring baby talc down the cast can also help and that if you are scratching with anything be very careful as if you cut the skin you are going to be in serious trouble if the cut gets infected with a cast over it.
