Wash and blow dry for 7.50 euros
Don’t worry, I’m not suggesting I do it. God forbid. My daughters run screaming in the opposite direction when I appear with a shampoo bottle.
I popped in a few days ago to the hairdressers just opposite El Corte Ingles in Puerto Banus. They have another salon on the main Marbella road. You can’t fail to spot it as they have the most gorgeous sparkly lights hanging from the ceilings and with clear ceiling to floor glass it has that goldfish effect…..if you want privacy then don’t get your hair done by the window. ( It is next to Bookworld Espana)
Anyway, I asked how much it would be to get a wash and blow dry and I was told by the man who opened the door for me, in perfect English, that it costs 7.50 euros but if you want any treatments, conditioners, then you pay on top.
It is a walk in salon, no appointments.
Now I have heard that some people who have had their hair coloured here had problems so I don’t know how experienced the hairdressers are or if that was just a couple of fussy clients being particular. But for under 8 euros to have your hair washed and blow dried, then I think that it is amazing value.
I’m going to be brave before xmas and try it because at the end of the day if I come out looking like a poodle or scarecrow, then nobody will be able to tell the difference as on rainy days I often look like a poodle and on windy days a scarecrow. I can always re-do it myself. On the other hand for that price I may come out feeling and looking a diva and will have saved a lot of money, as the hairdressers I go to charge much more for a wash and blow dry. I also find that when the hairdressers have done it I can go for around 5 days without washing it so another bonus.
Can you tell I’m looking for excuses to go…..
